Faux-fur cropped top

In the second semester of my fashion design and construction class, I was given an assignment to create a garment via a computer generated pattern made specificly to my imagination and personal measurements. This cropped long sleeve top is designed to be worn over another top. Simply using a faux-fur for the trim and a polyester blend for the body of the top I was able to create a cute square-neck cropped top with tappered long sleeves and fur around the wrists and empire waistline.

Asymetrical Salsa-inspired

My junior year in high school I took a fashion design and construction class. My first construction assignment was to actually make a garment from one of the patterns given as an option by the instructor. I chose to create a blouse, and chose this one for the challenge. I used a black and red, floral print polyester blend fabric for the entire outfit. The draping neck, asymetrical bottom with a slight ruffle and the butterfly sleeves make a perfect mature look for almost any occasion.

3 Birds

In my freshman art class, we were given an assignment to draw three birds. While everyone else did the usual hummingbirds, robins, hawks, ect, I decided to step outside the box and draw birds that we really don't see everyday. Even though I can only tell you two of the three birds, I still feel they are all extremely interesting birds and have a beauty all their own. I used strictly pencil for this drawing and was done in a simple sketch pad.
